Hey all, this is a clear explanation of how optometrists got to this point after decades, and have now been left with no choice but to stop seeing all OHIP-eligible patients on September 1st.

This affects anyone under 19, and those 65 and over, and some 20-64 with certain medical conditions.

We are just asking for them to commit to a formal negotiation process. They have said publicly they are willing to work with our Association, but the truth is that they have simply refused to meet with us.
